This recipe was by far one of my most favorite and it was well loved. I had baked it for one of my wonderful friends Sarah Pine's (who I have featured in other blogs about her Pine Comb jewelry business) birthday at the request of her sister who wanted her to have a champagne cake. I took to pint rest and found this recipe. I followed the cake instructions but made my own buttercream frosting. Also note, you can use either pink champagne or regular.
My specialty is normally cupcakes so I was a little nervous to bake a cake but the instructions were very well put and the cake turned out close to perfect! It certainly gave me a confidence boost on my baking skills and everyone really seemed to love them. This cake had the perfect amount of sweetness and moisture and paired well with the vanilla buttercream. I would definitely make this in the future again.
The cake had a hilarious Kim K topper and pink candles courtesy of Sarah's sister Savannah that completed the look.
